How to Draw a Graph, Revisited
- Speaker:
Peter D Eades (University of Sydney)
- Abstract:
The famous mathematician W. Tutte wrote a paper in 1960 entitled "How to Draw a Graph". In the 50 odd years since then, the motivation for creating visual representations of graphs has changed from mathematical curiosity to visual analytics, and many new methods have been proposed, tested, implemented, and found their way into commercial tools. This talk is a review of this history.
