- Abstract:
Emotions form an important component of human decision making and behaviour. This
seminar looks at the role of emotions in design of emotionally intelligent or affective
systems and communication robots with applications in health care, human resource
management, knowledge management, aged care, education, security, e-tourism, autism,
and critical event management.
The research is targeted towards the need for better management and human-centered
design of IT resources for addressing social needs and problems in 21st century and
improve sustainability and well being of human society. The research has implications
in several areas including managerial decision making, knowledge management, service
delivery, information personalisation, and design of socially intelligent systems. The
work has transformative impact in industries like health care, aged-care, human resource
management, education, law enforcement and tourism.
